A free/paid, open-source Android native client for Git repository management tool Gitea
We take privacy and data seriously, and to that end, we do not save or track any user data.
The app (GitNex) only stores basic information related to your account on the device. This data remains strictly confidential and is only accessible to the application. Removing the application will also delete the stored data.
No passwords are stored locally in the app. They are only used to obtain an access token from the Gitea instance. This token can be revoked at any time from the settings on the web UI.
*Except for when using basic HTTP authentication, where it is necessary to save the password, GitNex prefers to obtain tokens from the instance. In the case of HTTP authentication, the password is securely stored within the app and is not accessible to any other apps. Clearing app data or removing the app will erase all the stored data. Read more for using this feature.
All connections are relayed through SSL encryption by default to an instance, unless the user chooses to select HTTP on the login screen. In that case, the user should be aware of the consequences, and GitNex as an app will not be held accountable for any potential man-in-the-middle (MITM) attacks.
